The Role

The company’s instruments are structured around microprocessors that interact with sensors and actuators. Your primary mission will be to enable these core components to collaborate effectively on a hardware level. As such, you will:

• Test sensors and characterize their behavior
• Develop and program appropriate filters for their operation and design feedback controls
• Develop new electronic modules based on the needs you identify
• Depending on your interests: Develop new electronic boards centered around 32-bit microcontrollers, incorporating voltage conversion functions, analog and digital sensor reading functions, actuator command writing functions, and communication functions with other devices/electronic boards or even PCs.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking someone who holds a Ph.D. in the field of instrumentation and/or embedded systems (such as mechatronics, robotics, electronics, etc.) and is looking for multidisciplinary projects to work on.

You should have experience in:

• Developing embedded platforms comprising sensors and microcontrollers
• Working with communication protocols such as UART, I2C, SPI, etc.

Ideal candidates should also have:

• Designed circuits with analog and digital electronic components (Eagle, Altium, KiCAD, etc.)
• Knowledge in signal processing (filters, amplifier design, ADC selection, etc.)
• Worked with power converters
• Used Matlab Simulink and the Microchip Embedded Coder toolbox
• Above all, we’re looking for a motivated, flexible individual with a strong interest in multidisciplinary research.

This job offer requires it to be the candidate’s first permanent contract (CDI) employment.
