ETPN will contribute to ESB 2026 in Antwerp, one of Europe’s leading biomaterials conferences, with a symposium highlighting the convergence between nanomedicine and biomaterials. The 35th Annual Conference of the European Society for Biomaterials (ESB 2026) will take place from 7 to 11 September 2026 in Antwerp, Belgium.
Bringing together a highly multidisciplinary community spanning chemistry, physics, biology, biomaterials science, tissue engineering and medicine, ESB 2026 is expected to welcome more than 1,000 participants from across Europe and beyond. The conference is designed to foster exchanges between basic researchers, applied scientists, clinicians and industry, with a strong focus on innovative solutions for clinical applications. For ETPN, this event is particularly relevant as it sits at the crossroads of several strategic priorities for our community, including nanomedicine, biomaterials, targeted delivery, regenerative medicine and translation to the clinic

ETPN playing an active role at ESB2026
ETPN is therefore pleased to contribute to ESB 2026 through the symposium “Nanomedicine and Biomaterials: Converging Platforms for Next-Generation Therapies”, organized by Ana Paula Pêgo and Alexandre Ceccaldi. The session will be chaired by Alexandre Ceccaldi together with Prof. Arn Mignon, and will feature Prof. Laurent Lévy, CEO of Nanobiotix and Chairman of ETPN Association, as keynote speaker.
This symposium will highlight the growing convergence between nanomedicine and biomaterials and the opportunities this creates for next-generation therapeutic strategies, from targeted delivery to advanced translational approaches.
Abstract submission: extended deadline
Abstract submission is currently open until 31 March 2026 (extended deadline), and colleagues working at the interface of these disciplines are warmly encouraged to submit their work and join the discussion in Antwerp.
The conference will take place at the Flanders Meeting and Convention Center Antwerp (FMCCA), in the city centre. More information on the programme, registration, travel and practical arrangements is available on the official ESB 2026 website.
