Registration is open: join the launch of the METRINO Academy. ETPN is happy to invite its community to the launch of the METRINO Academy, a new webinar series developed within the METRINO project to share practical, user-oriented insights on quality, metrology and standardisation for nanotherapeutics.
For Episode #1, we are delighted to welcome Nanobiotix, one of ETPN’s key long-standing members — for a rare, industry-grounded discussion on how nanomedicines are industrialized for clinical development, and how reproducibility, quality-by-design and fit-for-purpose measurement shape real manufacturing decisions.
Episode #1 (Live webinar)
Inside out the reactor — Industrialization of nanomedicines
Speakers (Nanobiotix):
- Anne-Sophie Larivière, SVP Operations
- Laëtitia Rio, Associate Director – Pharmaceutical products development & nanoparticles physicochemical characterizations

What this session will cover (industrial perspective)
In industrial manufacturing of nanomedicines, robust analytical methods are key to characterize nano-objects, but mastering process parameters to ensure consistent product reproducibility is critical. In this session, the speakers will cover the basis of GMP manufacturing and why it is important, the challenges in scaling up from bench to industrial production, the different stages of product development from research to commercial production, and the quality by design approach. We hope this presentation will help uncover remaining unmet needs in the industrial development of nanomedicines.
Who should attend?
This session is open to both experts and non-experts, whether your background is primarily in:
nanomedicine R&D • analytics/metrology • manufacturing/scale-up • QA/QC • regulatory/quality systems.
Format: 1 hour live session (talk + interactive Q&A). Cameras welcome; microphones muted by default.
ETPN members: please share this invitation internally and encourage your colleagues to join — the success of this series depends on strong community participation.
About METRINO
METRINO is a European Partnership on Metrology project (Grant 22HLT04) supporting reliable quality control of nanotherapeutics by developing and validating traceable measurement methods and advancing reference materials, to strengthen confidence in critical quality attributes (CQAs) and support standardisation readiness.

About the METRINO Academy
A monthly, hands-on webinar series designed to translate METRINO outcomes into practical guidance for academia, SMEs, industry and regulators, focused on real-life decisions (quality control, reproducibility, standardisation).
About Nanobiotix
Nanobiotix is a late-stage clinical biotechnology company pioneering the discovery, development, manufacture, and commercialization of disruptive, physics-based nanotherapeutics.
