The French Society for Nanomedicine (SFNano) is organizing a unique one-day event focused on Lipid Nanoparticles (LNPs) and their applications in RNA delivery. This event will bring together leading academic researchers, industry experts, and technology providers to discuss the latest innovations in lipid formulation, manufacturing, and characterization of LNPs.
ETPN is proud to take part in this event and will moderate one of the sessions.
Why Attend?
Lipid Nanoparticles (LNPs) have emerged as one of the most critical enabling technologies for nucleic acid-based therapeutics. Their role in mRNA vaccines has demonstrated their potential, but challenges remain in formulation, stability, and large-scale production. This event will provide a comprehensive overview of the latest advancements and open discussions on the future of LNP technology.
Program Overview
The event is structured around three major scientific and technological themes:
1️⃣ Lipid Design for RNA Delivery: From Academia to Industry
- Jeanne Leblond Chain, ARNA – History of ionizable lipids, from DNA to RNA
- Philippe Barthélémy, University of Bordeaux – Design of lipids for intracellular mRNA transport
- Juliette Martin, Seqens – Sourcing, synthesis, and characterization of lipids
- ???? Panel Discussion and Q&A
- More details coming soon
2️⃣ LNP Formulation, Manufacturing, and RNA Complexation
- Katia Lemdan, Neovacs – Current formulation approaches: composition and production
- Robin Oliveres, Inside Therapeutics – Advances in LNP formulation methods
- Nathalie Mignet, UTCBS – Pre- or post-encapsulation of mRNA?
- Giovanna Lollo, LAGEP – Process optimization for LNP manufacturing
- Federica Costamagna, Sanofi – Challenges in LNP stability
- Khair Alhareth, UTCBS – Regulatory perspectives on LNP formulations
- ???? Interactive Session: Challenges & Opportunities in LNP Formulation
3️⃣ LNP Characterization and Quality Control
- Jérémie Parot, Sintef – Regulatory requirements and quality control prerequisites
- Angelina Angelova, IGPS – Study of lipid complexation in RNA-based formulations
- Stéphane Rouquette, Malvern & Marie Berger, Myriade – Macroscopic structural characterization of LNPs
- Camille Malburet, Sanofi – Taylor dispersion analysis for LNP characterization
- ???? Panel Discussion: Standardization & Best Practices in LNP Characterization
4️⃣ Conclusions & Future Directions
