Dear ETPN members, dear colleagues, please mark your calendars for April 9th, 2024, as we invite you to a dynamic online seminar from 14:00 to 16:00 CET. This seminar, a collaborative initiative with the METRINO and MACRAME projects, aims to unravel the intricate aspects of metrology, method validation, and standardization within the sphere of analytical sciences. The session holds particular relevance for those in the fields of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and other consumer goods, emphasizing the integral role of these principles.

? The Significance of the Seminar

In partnership with the Horizon Europe project Macrame and the Nanomeasure France association, the METRINO project is excited to offer this seminar. Designed to cater to both the seasoned and emerging scientists, including PhD candidates and laboratory personnel, this event promises to lay down the fundamental blocks of metrology and standardization. Such knowledge is indispensable for the conception and development of groundbreaking products, spanning from nanomedicines to novel materials.

? Insights from Key Opinion Leaders

We are honored to have Dr. Georges Favre and Dr. Caterina Minelli, respected authorities from France’s LNE and the UK’s NPL, to navigate us through the pivotal aspects of standardization. The discussion will cover a broad spectrum, from reference materials and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to inter-laboratory comparisons, alongside an exploration of key resources. The journey from SOP creation to the establishment of standard test methods will be thoroughly discussed.

? Highlighting Nanotechnology and Its Medical Applications

The webinar will also shed light on the current endeavors in nanotechnologies and nanomedicine, accentuating the crucial contributions of national metrology institutes and standardization entities such as ISO, ASM, CEN, VAMAS, among others.

? Secure Your Spot

This is a unique chance to elevate your comprehension and influence in the realm of scientific innovation. Secure your participation in the webinar. Embrace this opportunity to broaden your metrological knowledge and contribute to the advancement of scientific breakthroughs.

About METRINO

The METRINO project (www.metrino.eu), a cutting-edge European project financed by the European Partnership on Metrology (EURAMET), spearheads the advancement of nanomedicine metrology. The dynamic consortium unites 9 metrology institutes, 3 universities, 3 large RTOs, 2 pharmaceutical company and 1 SME producing innovative nanotherapeutics, 1 hospital and the ETPN association in the collaborative effort to refine measurement methods and create reliable reference materials associated to nano-enabled clinical formulations. METRINO aims to support industrial stakeholders in implementing regulatory directives (e.g. EMA, MDR, and FDA). Our mission is to support the quality control of nanotherapeutics, including synthetic lipid-based particles such as liposomes and LNPs-RNA, and metal oxide nanoparticles, facilitating the seamless integration of nanomedicine into healthcare.

We believe METRINO has the potential to transform the European nanomedicine landscape, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes and a more competitive European health technology industry.
