Due to their particular physical and chemical properties, nanomaterials are now widely used in the research and manufacturing industries. Is the legitimate question of their possible toxicity and the potential risks for humans and the environment? The answer to this question includes a better control of raw materials, their handling and compliance with regulatory requirements. Also, it can be said that the responsible and controlled use of nanomaterials is today a social issue that mobilizes the public authorities as well as all stakeholders in the sector.
The Plate-forme Nano-Sécurité (PNS) du CEA Grenoble has been developed to answer these questions by gathering technical, research, prevention and training resources in the field of potential risks related to nanomaterials.
Following a successful first edition, exchange, information and networking will be in the spotlight of this second day organized by the PNS
Through various thematic workshops and animations, come and inform yourself and exchange in a user-friendly way on multiple topics such as good practices to respect in terms of nanosafety, training and communication, the regulation, the Safer- by-Design or monitoring related to the use of nanomaterials.
