Join Prof. Dan Peer for the 11th ERA4Health webinar, “From Academic Discoveries to Global Health Impact”, on 23 September 2026. The session will explore how researchers turn academic discoveries into therapeutic innovation, with insights particularly relevant to RNA therapeutics and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) developers.

Learn from a pioneer in RNA delivery

Prof. Dan Peer is Vice President for Research and Development at Tel Aviv University and Director of its Laboratory of Precision NanoMedicine. His pioneering work on cell-specific RNA delivery includes LNP technologies carrying siRNA, mRNA and circular RNA. Alongside his academic research, he has founded biotechnology companies and helped bring inventions into commercial and clinical development.

Beyond scientific proof of concept

How do you communicate a discovery’s value to investors or industry partners? What does it take to navigate technology transfer, licensing or company creation?

Drawing on both successes and failures, Prof. Peer will discuss practical lessons from RNA therapeutics, antibodies, genome editing and drug delivery, focusing on the partnerships and decisions that help technologies progress towards clinical development.

For researchers, start-ups and technology developers working on RNA therapeutics, LNPs and targeted delivery, this is an opportunity to connect scientific ambitions with the realities of developing a technology for patient benefit. Technology transfer professionals and colleagues supporting research commercialisation may also find the discussion valuable.

The webinar also introduces a key theme of the ERA4Health Research-to-Impact Academy, planned for March–April 2027: helping researchers move from scientific discovery towards implementation and meaningful health impact.

Register now and share the invitation with colleagues working to bring new therapeutic technologies closer to patients.

ETPN’s role in ERA4Health

As an ERA4Health partner, ETPN helps connect research teams with the expertise needed to advance promising health technologies. Through the HealthTech Translation Advisory Board (HealthTech TAB), we provide tailored mentoring by experienced industry experts and entrepreneurs. This support helps project teams clarify development priorities, identify suitable partnerships and plan their next steps towards clinical and commercial application.
