The European Technology Platform on Nanomedicine (ETPN) will take part in the 3rd CRS BeNeLux & France Local Chapter Meeting, held on 1–2 October 2026 at the Palais de la Bourse in Lyon, France. ETPN will be represented by its General Secretary, Alexandre Ceccaldi, who will chair a one-hour round table dedicated to the translational challenges facing novel pharmaceutics.

Translational aspects of novel pharmaceutics
Bringing together academic, clinical and industry perspectives, the session will address a deliberately practical question: what conditions must be built early if a promising pharmaceutical technology is to progress beyond the laboratory and ultimately reach patients?
The exchange will explore alignment with clinical needs, manufacturing and scale-up, regulatory strategy, intellectual property, funding, technology transfer and effective collaboration across academia, hospitals, biotech and pharma.
The announced panellists joining the discussion are:
- Maria-Teresa Peracchia, Global Head of CMC Strategy & Execution, Sanofi mRNA Center of Excellence;
- Naoual Bakrin, MD, PhD, Hospices Civils de Lyon;
- François Lux, Professor and Vice-President for Innovation and Technology Transfer, Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1;
- Sarah Braet, Business Developer, Ghent University / CRIG; and
- Agnès Bernet, Professor at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 and CSO of Netris Pharma.
ETPN will contribute the perspective of its European nanomedicine community. Strong science remains essential, but decisions made during early development can determine future manufacturability, regulatory feasibility, the ability to secure funding and the prospects of finding an industrial partner. Bringing these constraints into the scientific dialogue sooner can save time and improve the chances of delivering meaningful patient benefit.
About the meeting
Organised by the CRS BeNeLux & France Local Chapter, the two-day scientific programme spans advanced nanomedicine for cancer imaging and therapy; cancer vaccination and immunotherapy; nanomedicine and biomaterials for immune engineering; emerging strategies for nucleic-acid delivery, from biomaterials to LNPs; AI-driven design and prediction in nanomedicine; and targeted drug activation and delivery.
Registration remains open. Poster abstracts may be submitted until 27 September 2026.
