Today, the European Technology Platform on Nanomedicine (ETPN) is happy to welcome two new institutions as active members of our network! Together, they represent the diversity and complementarity of our unique think thank for medical applications of nanotechnologies in Europe, from academia to clinicians, SMEs and industry.


ETPN member Nanogold – SME – France

V-Nano aims to become the European leader as contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) for precision therapies. V-Nano manages the complete development of a wide range of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API):

  • Cytotoxic or high potency API
  • Conventional API
  • Large molecules
  • Small molecules

to be vectorized in a sterile process for parenteral formulations. The core of V-Nano business revolves around complete manufacturing and formulation approaches for specialty and orphan drug pharmaceutical companies through an entirely new model.

Faculty of Pharmacy of Helsinki

ETPN member – Academia – Finland

The Faculty of Pharmacy conducts research on pharmaceutical drugs and services and provides a significant part of related education in Finland. The Faculty annually awards an average of 150 Bachelor, 50 Master and 15 Doctor of Science (Pharmacy) degrees to graduates who go on to work as specialists, researchers and managers in drug development and health care. Thanks to the professional relevance of the Faculty’s degrees, the graduates’ job prospects are excellent.

The Faculty includes the Division of Pharmaceutical Biosciences, the Division of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology, the Division of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy as well as the cross-disciplinary Drug Research Program.

The Faculty focuses on the following areas of research: drug discovery, drug delivery, drug action and therapy, and pharmaceutical nanotechnology. The Faculty also conducts significant research in clinical pharmacy and pharmoeconomics.
